There are 14 more female empowerment conferences in 2016, according to The Bizzabo Blog. As someone who recently went to a female empowerment event (GirlTalk Network). I can honestly tell you THEY MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

There’s nothing like being surrounded by amazing, successful women who want you to succeed! Literally, these events are about women empowering women to get to the top.

They’re wonderful events, so I could help myself from doing a “google search”to see what other events I may be able to attend this year!

(And, YES, they cost money. The Girl Talk event was $99 a ticket. All the proceeds went to women’s charity She Lift.)

Here’s what I found.

Projections show that at the current rate of advancement, women and men won’t be equally represented in leadership until 2085! Why is that and what can we do, as a collective group, to help women leaders advance more quickly in the workplace?

Bridging the gap between how men and women are treated in the world is something I'm passionate about. I'm originally from Saratoga Springs, NY. I studied Journalism and Spanish at the University of Minnesota and rowed Division-1. In 2007, my crew of incredibly strong women and I won an NCAA Championship. I love sharing stories, traveling and being active in the community. My husband and I live near Manhattan Beach, CA with our two cats whom we are both obsessed with.
