Holy “Girl Power” At The Grammys!

Adele and Beyonce.

When people think about the 2017 Grammy’s those are the two who will be remembered and… they just happen to be women.

I was in tears on my couch last night watching Adele’s acceptance speech(es.) First, for “Record of the Year” and second, “Album of the Year.” In both cases she gushed over her love for Beyonce, her talent and how she’s used her music to empower others over the past year.

During Adele’s acceptance speech for best album she said “my life is Beyonce, and the album to me, the ‘Lemonade’ album, Beyonce, was so monumental, and so well thought out. And so beautiful and soul bearing and we all got to see another side of you that you don’t always let us see, and we appreciate that. And all us artists adore you. You are our light. And the way that you make me and my friends feel, the way you make my black friends feel is empowering, and you make them stand up for themselves. And I love you. I always have. And I always will.”

Beyonce was seen mouthing “Thank you. I love you.” to Adele afterwards.

While she received the grammy for Best Urban Contemporary album she said: “It’s important to me to show images to my children that reflect their beauty so they can grow up in a world where they look in the mirror, first through their own families, as well as the news, the Super Bowl, the Olympics, the White House, and the Grammys, and see themselves.”

The respect and open support these two women showed for each others was so lovely. Total BAMFs!

Also, I love them and want to be their best friend.

#InHerWords: Women Marching Against President-Elect Donald Trump

Across the country Thousands of people are revolting against President-Elect Donald Trump

In Philadelphia a young Olivia Garrity said “I am afraid for my friends and I’m a white person and I will never know what they feel like and that’s why I’m here.”

“I think people didn’t get out to vote,  they assumed Hillary would win, they assumed that there were not as much racists in this country as there are. They assumed that there were not as many people who have the privilege of looking past Donald Trump’s hatred and racism because they thought he was a good business man.”

In New York City, Javiera an immigrant waiting for her citizenship to go through, shared why she’s marching and what she hopes it will accomplish.

Marita Dancy, 21, says she’s hopes her march will force people to listen to her concerns about President Elect Trump.

Those are the “words” of three women from different backgrounds on why they’re protesting the November 8th election. What are your thoughts? Use the hastag #InHerWords to share them with GoBAMF.

Badass Women Despite Misogynistic Undertones

Hillary Clintscreen-shot-2016-10-10-at-9-47-18-pmon, Ivanka Trump, Ana Navarro, Nancy O’Dell and Rosie O’Donnell are five women I can say I’m proud of. They are all different and they are all BAMFs. They stick to their opinions and stay true to themselves despite criticism and a hostile environment toward women who have power.

Today on #GOBAMF, my friend Katerina Cozias from Global-Gab.com and my husband Steve Kuzj from KTLA joined me in discussing how misogyny plays a part in our society and  daily lives.

I’m as you’ll see in the video, I’m pretty upset about, but let me know what you think! Catch me on Social Media “@ChristineUncut” and please Subscribe. 🙂

My Thoughts On Trump & Bush’s Deplorable Comments About Women

“The nephew of a former president of the United States and Trump were in an Access Hollywood bus talking about how they can do whatever they want to women and look at where they are now. Billy Bush is a co-host on the Today show, and Donald Trump is running for President of the United States of America.”

Really? What does this say about our society? I guess I’ve had my head stuck in the dirt because I can’t believe the history of sexism (not to mention racism) that is still a part of our society. I thought we were progressive. I thought we were better. I’m disappointed and #Iliterallycanteven as you’ll see in the video below.

If you haven’t listened to the audio I’m referring to click here. The Washington Post leaked the 2005 conversation between Trump and Billy Bush Friday night.

In my frustration I posted this on Facebook. Yes, I’m in pajamas and that’s a pumpkin.

What do you think? Are you as surprised as I was? Did you expect this? I keep trying to give people (Trump) the benefit of the doubt, but come on… this is ridiculously awful!

And that “apology video” sounded scripted AF.

MPR Radio Host Kerri Miller Talks “Sex” Inspired Podcast

Screen Shot 2016-10-05 at 8.18.17 PM.pngKerri Miller is a journalist & MPR radio host who started a podcast about SEX! It’s scary for a professional like her to enter uncharted territory especially when your reputation is on the line, but she’s doing it! (Cause she’s a BAMF!)

Smart Sex with Kerri Miller started as a candid conversation about a sex toy with one of her good friends. The two felt there was something really wonderful about talking so openly about having a fulfilled sex life. They wanted to continue the conversation.

The podcast includes highlights about toxic sex toys, masturbation in front of your partner and “being ruthless about pleasure.”  EYE OPENING, Am I Right?

WATCH to learn what she says to herself to stay strong in the face of naysayers.
